Cassie's vet appointment

Yesterday Zanaella had her first vet appointment on the west side here.Vet did a once over- looks generall healthy- healthy heart, healthy lungs, healthy gut noises.Had her floated- her teeth were VERY sharp and took quite a long time to do a thorough job.was pretty resistant to the sedation, but eventually got woozy enough to let us work on her mouth.The only other trouble spot we could see was her left eye. per the vet: "left lens has central dense brown area, can fully see retina through it." Because she can see the retina, she believes Zanaella still has pretty good sight in that eye. Somethng to be watched though, over time.Another problem spot is her right shoulder- seems to be over developed as compared to the right- something you'd see with a horse that was not ridden balanced. but because we all think Zanaella is unstarted- we dont know why she has this. it feels like muscle, not bone- and time will tell if it evens out or if we need to examine it further.She did really well with the vet. She is normally pretty wary of strangers, but the vet was super patient with her, and between the two of us, Cassie eventually stood still on a loose lead and let the vet touch her all over- Hoorah! -Ally
